   Access to 150 acres of space is available for filming, and 20 acres at the Virginia Ranch is available for filmmakers to build sets, park production trucks and auxiliary equipment and for general use. Main house, guest house and three mobile trailers can be used for interior shoots, as well as: gas station, diner, barber shop, border town, horse coral and bar. Nearby within 10-15 minutes of Virginia Ranch, in Palmdale, there are accommodations like hotels, motels, restaurants, and shops that are useful to the crew. An airport and train station are also conveniently located nearby. There are many props to use on the set, which are all conveniently located on the property. Best rates are available for all projects, and reduced rate will be given to film students. The first time the property was used for a major motion picture was over fifty years ago when the legendary western hero John Wayne shot several films there. Over the years it has been used for many many films and is now available for independent film makers to rent by the day, week or month.
